Fireworks Safety Tips

  • If you choose to use fireworks, make sure they are legal! Never use fireworks under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Never leave young children unattended where fireworks are present
  • Any person near the fireworks launching area should be wearing protective eyewear
  • Never light fireworks indoors or near flammable objects
  • Always light fireworks one device at a time
  • Never attempt to relight or handle manfunctioning fireworks as they could still explode
  • Use a pair of safety gloves when handling and lighting fireworks
  • In case of a fire or emergency, keep a bucket of water handy at the fireworks site. When discarding fireworks, soak them in water for a few hours beforehand.
